When in Bohol, stay at Belian Hotel

I’d often get asked where the best place to stay in Tagbilaran City is. “One that’s within my budget and within the city” is almost always the line. Fortunately, that is not so hard to answer now.

Enter Belian Hotel. Adorned with furniture and accessories from Cebuano artist Clayton Tugonon, the lobby and the entire hotel speaks class that you might do a 180-turn and walk away thinking you can’t afford staying. But it is affordable and has almost everything that you need in a hotel. It is also accessible -- a walking distance from the city port and a 5- to 10-minute ride from the airport (a plus for travelers), a 5-minute walk to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish church, and a 10-minute walk to BQ Mall.

Belian Hotel has a total of 52 rooms, 8 of which are facing the ocean and provide a beautiful view of Tagbilaran bay and of course the sunset. The rooms have Wi-Fi so you stay connected, a Smart Hotel TV for when you just want to lay in bed and catch up on your favorite show, and complimentary bottled water to keep you hydrated.

Staying at Belian would not leave you hungry as they have their own restaurant, the Adelaida Cafe. To quote from their website:

Adelaida Cafe is our in-hotel restaurant and coffee shop that offers an array of international and local dishes fit for the hungry traveler. Fashioned after Hong Kong style cafes, our restaurant offers value-for-money set meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and in-betweens.

They also serve breakfast food all day and are open from 6 in the morning until midnight. The cafe can be converted into small meeting rooms to accommodate 10 - 40 guests and if you need a bigger function hall, Belian offers the Lotus Hall at the top floor of the hotel. The Lotus Hall can accommodate 100 guests and has a reception area right outside. An outdoor roof deck is attached to the hall perfect for cocktail parties. Imagine having a drink in hand while basking in the sunset.
